The Twilight Saga and the new Genres of Music

I know I know, I suck like a whole bunch because I’ve not made a new episode for so long but I have got many reasons as to why this is. The main one is probably laziness but I’m not going to go into that right now.

In this episode I talk about the “Twilight Saga” that everyone seems to be raving about nowadays. I do think it is something that will pass me by unless I suddenly turn into a teenage girl (and let’s face it, these days who knows what will happen…)

I also have decided that I am on a new crusade to try and get people to think differently about music and to place all music into three catagories rather than the millions of different genres: Stuff you like, stuff you don’t like and stuff you’ve not heard. My job is to take the songs from “stuff you’ve not heard” and place it in the like or dislike pile (to clarify, if there are songs that you are unsure about but do intend to liten to again, they go into the like pile until you decide otherwise). Pretty straight forward. This week I play a song called “Masquerade” by S.U.N..

Obviously the first level is that of the tragic incidents involving some twat of a man called Derrick Bird who decided to go nuts with a gun and shoot up his village in a rampage leaving many wounded and dead. The other level that distresses me is the way the media and news channels have covered it all.

There is a certain joy in other people’s misfortune. It doesn’t make you a bad person for that feeling, especially when those people put themselves forward to be laid bare to those tacky magazine which I happen to really enjoy reading. Does it make me a bad person? Least I didn’t get conned by a 14 year old claiming he was the owner of a stationary company. That would be stupid…

Actually I watched a documentary about those kinds of magazines and it was truly a fascinating piece of documentary television. It does prove that people are willing to sell their stories to these magazines but also how some of the magazine like to twist the stories to be a contorted and distorted article of bum paper that will sell in it’s millions because of it truly unbelievability. Lovely stuff. If you think you don’t like those magazines, you’re lying to yourself!

Thinking about Flies

I get a lot from my Dad and today is no exception. Today he has given me something to talk about in my podcast. Even though it is to do with the genetics of flies and such. Beggars can’t be choosers :D

Nevermind though. I’ve had a good couple of days. I went to go see some puppets that were freakin’ awesome. They were lit by ultraviolet (or black light) and it looked as if they were dancing around in mid air. Blew my mind, like seriously. The best bit was the small children being scared shitless by the big monster ones. Infant trauma FTW!

I’ve been busy working on the newly improved Radio Rabies site and podcast and shit. Will anyone notice? I bloody doubt it. I’ve been working so hard I’ve worked myself up into a head ache which is like well rubbish.

In this episode of the podcast I talk about what I’ve been up to including my day down Hemsby Beach, well at least me eating a waffle, my close encounter of the ear wax kind as well as how a little bit of Wii Fit has had me hobbling around the place like an aged, slightly crippled old man for the last couple of days.

If you’re sitting there and you’ve got a Facebook and you’ve yet to add Radio Rabies, shame on you! What have you got to lose exactly? A little bit of dignity and the respect of others? Put it this way, once you’ve gotten over that and you have no more dignity to lose you’re free to do what you want. I’m just helping you along with that. Before long, no one will even care if you shit your pants whilst riding a mop around the place. If anything, I’m doing you a favour It’s your choice but on your conscience be it if you’re a fan of other stupid pages like “Join this group or my friend’s face will fall off” or “I love Ben Elton” and you’re not a fan of mine :(

Ep#44: Therapy By Jim Davidson

Second episode of the week and I don’t think it’s a bad episode. I had a weird dream where Jim Davidson was a trained professional giving out advice as a therapist / counselor. It was well weird. I also talk about annoying children as well as the hype machine that is Avatar. A lot can be said for Avatar but one thing I can say about it is I’ve not seen it and I’m in no real rush to see it either!

Also apologies for my audio cutting out during recent episode. I’ve no idea why this happens :(
